Grizzly bear (Ursus arctos) fishing for salmon
A grizzly bear (Ursus arctos) in Fish Creek, near Hyder in Alaska. In this shallow creek the bears come in late summer and early autumn to fish for the plentiful salmon swimming upriver to spawn. Even though the season was at its end here, this female bear managed to catch what looks to me like a fair-sized chum salmon (Oncorhynchus keta).
